While signing a petition on Rightthrume.com (RTM), you have the option to leave a public comment or a “Reason for signing” to express why you decided to support the campaign. Comments can also be added on the “News & Discussion” page after you have already registered your signature on the petition.

To post a comment while signing a petition on RTM, please follow these steps:

1. Log into your RTM account.
2. Locate the petition you want to sign.
3. On the right side, below your name, you will see an empty box labeled “I’m signing because… (optional).” This is where you can leave your comment.
4. Once you have finished, simply press the “Sign this petition” button. That’s it!

Please note that by default, your “Reason for signing” and signature will be posted publicly. If you do not want them to be public, please deselect the option to “Display my name and comment on this petition.” You can find this option directly under the comment box.

To post a comment after you have already signed a petition on RTM, please follow these steps:

1. Log into your RTM account.
2. Click on your name or display picture, located at the top-right side of the page.
3. Select “Profile” from the drop-down menu.
4. Locate the petition you would like to comment on in the ‘Signed’ section and click on it.
5. Click on the “Petition details” menu located at the top-right corner and select the “News & discussion” option.
6. Under “Join the conversation,” you will see the option to add your comments.

Please note that other supporters of the campaign will be able to view the comment you post on the News & discussion page.

Regarding editing comments on RTM, currently, there is no option to edit comments. However, you are free to delete your comment and post a new one with your corrections.

To delete a comment you have posted in the past on RTM, please follow these steps:

1. Log into your RTM account.
2. Visit your “Profile” and click on the petition where you left your comment.
3. Locate your comment on the ‘Reasons for signing’ page, ‘News & discussion’ page, or a petition update.
4. Click the trash can icon on the right side of your comment.
5. Confirm that you would like to delete the comment.

After confirming the deletion, your comment will be permanently removed from the platform.

Please remember that deleted comments cannot be recovered, so ensure that you want to delete the comment before proceeding.
